Recognizes and honors organizations for service to the Greater Baton Rouge community
Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge announces its 3rd Annual Solaris Awards Ceremony, recognizing and honoring area programs and their organizations (non-profit, private and government agencies) for their exceptional service to the Greater Baton Rouge community. The Solaris Awards celebrate the holistic efforts that make a program successful. The awards are not for individuals, but honor the greatest form of collaboration-"TEAM WORK."

Deadline for entry: August 13, 2010 at 3pm

Six broad categories honor programs and their agencies for excellence
Radiance Award: Recognizes Health Care Programs
Enlightenment Award: Recognizes Education and Enrichment Programs
Brilliance Award: Recognizes Social Service Adult Programs
Illumination Award: Recognizes Social Service Children Programs
Iridescent Award: Recognizes Governmental Service Programs
The Solaris Award: Recognizes Overall Outstanding Program
In addition to the award recognition, five of the recipient programs will receive $100 for their program and the winner of the Solaris Award will receive $500.
All nominations will be judged by representation from the

Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation
Irene W. and C.B. Pennington Foundation
Blue Cross Foundation
Award recipients will be honored at the Solaris Awards Ceremony
