THIRD ANNUAL STORYBOOK BALL
A Night to Remember!!!

Baton Rouge, LA – Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge, along with presenting sponsor, Tipton Associates, A Professional Architectural Corporation, presented the Third Annual Storybook Ball. This whimsical gala was held Saturday, April 16th from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the Baton Rouge River Center. The event showcased 14 larger than life-sized storybooks each featuring wonderful interactive activities, stilt walkers, costumed Castaway theatre artist, animals from the Audubon zoo along with an evening of music and dancing for the young and old alike! Whether you were mesmerized by the Boa Constrictor and other animals at Jungle Book or created magic at Hogwarts School with Harry Potter or better yet danced at Princess Tiana’s wedding, guest and families were transformed as they entered a fairytale wonderland! Adults also joined in the fun by perusing the spectacular items at the silent auction and by trying their luck at ringing a bottle of Merlot or Sauvignon Blanc at the wine toss game! Those of who like to take chances purchased raffle tickets for three wonderful prizes: a weekend stay at the famous Pontalba Apartments overlooking Jackson Square (constructed in 1845-1856 by Baroness Pontalba), Disney World Park Passes and airline tickets for two persons anywhere in the United States.

The Mistress of Ceremonies was Baton Rouge’s very own WBRZ 2une In host Whitney Vann. Special guest included Miss Louisiana, Kelsi Crane, Miss Black Louisiana, Nakina Eugene and Miss Black Louisiana Talented Teen, Jo’quishia Hilliard. Featured musical guest were the Runnels Youth Harpist and Static Stereo Band. Lots of fun, food and drinks shared by all!!!

Storybook Ball proceeds will be used to assist with advancing the vision and mission of Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge, “to create a stronger, healthier community enriched with loving, productive families, and to strengthen families through leadership, collaboration and coordination of community services in a warm and welcoming place”.
