Family Road Healthy Start Healthy Start is a community-based program, designed to give babies the best possible start in life, by improving families’ access to healthcare, social services and information in East Baton Rouge.

Family Road’s Healthy Start is a free program for expectant mothers and women with children two years and younger that reside in East Baton Rouge Parish. The program focuses on supporting moms and assisting parents with the challenges of a growing family and raising small children. 

 Family Road Healthy Start program is a way to ensure that your child gets the healthy start on life by providing individualized assistance and information specific to your needs.

 We know that becoming a parent brings new questions and decisions, so the Family Road Healthy Start program was developed to provide the support you need, when you need it, so that you have the best chance for a healthy birth outcome while also maintaining good mental and physical health. The program provides information to help you better understand pregnancy, prepare for labor and delivery, and meet the challenges of parenting a newborn and toddler.
