GED/ESL

Have you thought about going to  obtain your GED?  At Family Road you are able to take the HISET and Placement Test, Family Road is a sattelite Learning Center EBR Adult Learning. 

 

HISET/GED Eligibility Requirements:

Individuals who are at least 19 years of age or older are eligible to take the test without enrolling in Adult Education or passing a qualifying test. Individuals who are 16, 17, and 18 years of age must achieve qualifying scores on the HiSET Official Practice Test AND have an authorized agent complete the Louisiana Authorization Form prior to testing.

English Second Language (ESL)

This 12-month program offers students more than 60 hours of instruction per semester which incorporates speaking, listening, reading and writing along with life skills (such as preparation for the workplace), and civics education. Multiple levels of instruction are offered and students are allowed to matriculate through the class levels and/or attend more than one level of instruction which increases the potential number of class hours available to students.
The program, which has been constructed based on the proven success of previous EL/Civics programs, employs strategies which incorporate outstanding hands-on instruction to the ESL population.
