Mediation services are available to assist individuals in resolving conflict without resorting to violence. Intakes for mediations are conducted at Family Road, and persons requesting mediation should call and ask for the Community Mediation Center. Mediation services will be provided to settle such issues as conflict over: noise, parking, and/or property lines between neighbors; rent, privacy and/or damages between landlord and tenant; dissatisfaction and/or non-payment between a business and a consumer; nonviolent crimes, vandalism and/or theft between the victim and the offender; and house rules and/or curfew between a parent and child. Charge for mediation services may be on a sliding scale according to income level.
