Believe in Youth Louisiana (BY-LA)

Louisiana (BYLA) is a program of the Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies (IWES) that aims to reduce the rates of teen pregnancy, HIV, and other STIs among adolescents in Southeast Louisiana.

Believe in Youth-Louisiana (BY-LA) is a teen pregnancy prevention program that teaches age appropriate sexual and emotional health to La youth. BY-LA's curriculum can be taught in middle schools, high schools, community organizations, faith based organizations, after school programs and juvenile justice institutions. The goal is to reduce rates of teen pregnancy, HIV, and other STD's in children and young adults 11-19 in Louisiana's Regions 1 and 3.
